Top 50 films

Most of my creative energy is currently devoted to Flipside Movie Emporium, my film review website that covers mainstream cinema and the indies and B-movies that don’t get any respect in mainstream media. I usually write one review per week and I serve as editor over a staff of contributing critics — but they’re such wonderful writers that there’s hardly any “editing”.

My reviews are accessible through popular film websites such as Movie Review Query Engine, Internet Movie Database, Online Film Critics Society, and Rotten Tomatoes. I’m part of the Tomatometer!

This isn’t a favorites list, nor a list of my picks for the greatest films of all time, although most of these films would fit the bill for those topics as well. Instead, these are the films that have had the most impact on me as a cinephile — the films that helped shape my perception of cinema and best exemplify why I love movies. Or that’s the best xxx¬†for this list I could come up with.
